Manipulating Americans

There is a basic issue that needs to be addressed about manipulation before we can get into the nuts and bolts of how it works.  Simply put it is that manipulation is an action that influences human nature within a process that will occur regardless of any manipulation or lack of it.  The question is, therefore, do we wish to guide that process or not and how much and what sort of guidance is prudent and practical for good outcomes?  If you are not interested in good outcomes you are probably on the wrong website.

What this means is that all people everywhere are subject to this process and manipulation regardless of their national or ethnic background simply because we are all human and possess human nature.  Now the question becomes whether or not it is good for the continuing growth and maturity of the culture within which it is being executed?  The only way to answer that effectively for practical and pragmatic purposes is by way of the comparison of outcomes based on how human nature has developed within our culture and others as well as why.  This also helps us to understand cultural differences and why one or another should be preferred and or grown differently.

So now we start to get into those ‘nuts and bolts’.  First of all we will talk about authority.  Most have heard of the 1974 Stanley Milgram experiments done regarding how much pain a person is willing to inflict on others based on his perception of authority.  People were asked to shock someone based on exposure to different levels of authority.  This experiment became widely known because people were shocked at the level of pain people would inflict on someone if they thought the ‘authority’ figures were accepting or even demanding it.  The point here is that authority itself can become a factor for manipulation… but there is much more.

More recently experiments that I think are more telling have been done that infer much more than immediate manipulation is possible.  These experiments and others show that a much more insidious group of manipulations can be executed that are capable of even genetic modification without the subjects even being aware of it.  There are several but the one I will use here is easily understood and a good way to introduce the nature of manipulation in this regard.  It must also be remembered that these things also have an effect upon the manipulators.  You will see how as we continue.  I like to call these the cherry fear experiments.

In the cherry fear experiments (though many go into many things other than the smell of cherries) a group of identical lab mice are shocked every time the smell of cherries is introduced.  The become agitated, fearful, and have a variety of of negative responses both physiologically and mentally.  All of these things are measured through scientific means.  Ok you say… of course they do so what is all the fuss about?

The fuss is that for generations after a full life of such exposure their descendants are affected exactly the same way without any negative stimulus.  They fear the smell of cherries.  Such things have been seen in stock animals raised generationally as well.  Up until now most thought the mothers of such animals somehow ‘taught’ them to fear an electric fence for example.  Now we know that genetic modifications occur daily that can be passed on.  Yes… there is such a thing as genetic and cultural memory.  Humans are not as controlled as lab rats or stock animals so variations are much more likely.  Still, a large population can be manipulated in a general direction… albeit slowly.

It will likely come out more as tendencies, however, and need some kind of support to continue in an otherwise unnatural and hostile environment to such change.  Consider for instance our ‘war on poverty’.  Why doesn’t it work?  With the above and much more you need to understand that what was actually created was a group of people who would, over the generations, come to expect their livelihood to emanate from a source other than work and self reliance.  The result would be an antipathy for anything that threatened it.  They would cease to value those things that promoted a move away from it.  Such as education, work, and self discipline.  The surprise to me is that anyone with an understanding of human nature and manipulation would think that it would in any way cure poverty.

Such things are instituted, generally speaking, by taking advantage of peoples good nature… something abundant in America.  Initially authority figures use their position to execute a bait and switch… something called seductive justification by Machiavellians.  After that they encourage and support the expansion it until it is a force of its own.  Such things have been executed by influence peddlers throughout history.  The Roman bread and circus comes to mind.

In other areas such as immigration the same is true.  You have a generational expectation of freedom and intrinsic values so deep that the only way to get rid of it is to ‘breed them out’ as Longshanks proposed in regards to the Scots of his day.  How would you do that today?  You swamp the country, if possible, with people both domestic and foreign who don’t have or understand that freedom or hold those intrinsic values.  Throughout the history of man influence peddling has only refined itself.  It has not changed.  What has changed is that this new philosophy of freedom has become entrenched and they cannot go back to business as usual until they destroy it and those who follow it.  America is not ‘multi cultural’.  It is a melting pot and that means that new cultures simply add a ‘new flavor’ to the pot.  They do not change it into a different culture.  It already has a culture.  The culture of freedom.  This is why ‘assimilation’ is vital and why borders should be guarded zealously.  Deep down every ‘American’ understands this and recognizes the threats to our nation.

There are only two sides and that has been true all through history.  Other divisions such as race, class, religion, and ethnicity are creations of man and side issues deserving attention and solutions.  The truth, however is that it is and always has been a conflict between those who produce and those who live off of those who produce.  The philosophy of freedom simply adheres to the idea that men do not serve or become enslaved to those who produce nothing.  Anything else can only end in slavery.

Influence peddling is the bane of free men and they cannot coexist for long.  Simply look at the flow chart on this home page and it starts to make sense.  It is the reason every influence peddling nation in history has failed.  It is the reason we kicked out the kings.  It is the reason our government was constructed the way it was.  Most of all it is the reason we should weed our garden soon.  I hope this has given you an insight into how the manipulations of influence peddlers work.

One other thing to remember is that these same things generationally affect those who practice it.  Eventually they will come to believe that the bubble they live in is the truth and will cease to understand, empathize with, and/or appreciate things that can’t or won’t work for them.  The problem is that it is a bubble and a bubble is nothing but a lie that will burst once the truth is known.  That is a one of many good reasons that family dynasties should never be in charge of free people.  It is a reason why influence should be a limited service and not career.

The appreciation of freedom as Americans understand and practice it is singular in the world today.  Think long and hard about how that came about generationally and how you think it should be managed for the future and our children.  Many of these blog topics could be better understood by reading Common Sense V2.  The basic principles of what we have learned in the first generationally free nation in the world over the last three hundred years are discussed there in detail, though the book is short.  There is a link for Common Sense by Thomas Payne in the book blurb you might want to read with it.  His words are as true today as they were then.  We just know a great deal more about free people now and almost all of it the influence peddlers work daily to make sure you don’t know or understand.

Common sense is a subject that never ends… unless freedom ends and it doesn’t matter.  Thank you for your time and may you have a long, free, and prosperous life.
